Could any member please enlighten me what the main differences are between these models?

I'm looking to buy a 250 second hand or 200 new.

Get 250 and then later upgrade to 250 Pro.

Can you get a chance to hear both of them from a audio store?

I've compared my 200 to 250 (non pro) yesterday in my room and system (check my signature).

To be honest there was no comparison.
The 250 sounded classes above 200 in every area of sound.
If I would have say in short 250 is organic and natural and 200 on the other side artificial and digitally sounding (in direct comparison).

I did a compare on 220 pro and 250 pro, the 250 pro sounds noticeably better.

It has to sound better - it costs twice as much. It's quite simple.

The only relevant comparison is with 440 Pro - in that particular system. In some other the result could be different.

Anthem MRX 720 | Dynaudio Excite X28 | Dynaudio Emit M20

When I switched from 440 to 250, I felt something less was being presented though I was never able to put my finger on it. The 440 to me is/was a wonderful configuration delivering everything the speakers I had at the time (Harbeth 40.1) needed. This lead me to trying and switching speakers to Blade II's which were as different from the Harbeths you could get. Matching up another 250 and the cycle is complete.

For me the 440 was a wonderful platform for the Harbeths. The Blades with the D1000 took my interests to a different place all together. I believe the 440 is the best price performance platform Devialet has delivered.
