But, is anyone working on the software at Devialet?

That's what they said prior to the release of 1.8.0 - it has been almost 3 months since they introduced the bug in the prior release - so now we have to wait another 2-3 months for them to release the next firmware update to fix this - if they do.

The fact that they released 1.8.0 without the fix shows that either they don't know how to fix it or they don't really care.  They just want you to use Spark.

Actually, software development is cheap.  All you really need are a development plan and management commitment. There are buildings full of programmers in countries outside of France, complete with management infrastructure, ready to contract with companies for s/w development.  The idea that development "has to be done in-house" is laughably, demonstrably false.

That Devialet refuses to recognize how weak/incomplete their s/w is, should be a cause for concern to current and prospective owners.  It does not appear that the principals at Devialet have a clear vision (or time frame) for what they want the software ecosystem to be.
