Error opening Spark in Win7
#1
I get this error when opening Spark in Win7.

"Failed to create OpenGL context for format QSurfaceFormat(version 2.0...

This is most likely caused by not having the necessary graphics drivers installed.

Install a driver providing OpenGL 2.0 or higher..."

Anyone experience this? What to do?

Yes I had the same error for the first install of Spark on one computer while I was still under Win7. I installed some OpenGL drivers and it worked well after that.

Just go to intel website and download and install the latest drivers and you should be fine.

I never succeeded in solving this problem because there were no usable updates for my videocard. I had to use a newer laptop. It's a pity that Devialet cannot/not want to specify the requirements for the videocard (c.q. system); "Windows 7" is rather insufficient...

I downloaded the latest driver for my laptop's videocard in the manufacturers website (asus). Installed it and still has error in opening spark.

Downloaded and installed the one in intel's website as well but it couldnt install because it said it wasn't compatible with my machine.

Curious, I never had such a problem with mine... Can you specify your laptop's model?

I had this issue with my Acer desktop. As far as I remember it was quite difficult to find the correct drivers

How about installing Win 10? The UX31 should be more than capable of running Spark
