Expert Pro 440: Problem connecting Companion

Are you happy with the 440?

Not entirely.
The streaming performance with the Eversolo DMP-A8 is satisfactory, and the sound far surpasses my previous equipment (McIntosh C53 & MC402). This is my primary way of listening to music.

But I still haven't been able to get JRiver Mediacenter working correctly and reliably on a Mac mini. It was working yesterday, but not today.

Sorry to hear that. I was hoping to use the UPnP facility in the Devialet controlling it with the Bubble UPnP-app, but it didn´t work. Devialet (of course) still haven´t helped me (answering they will check it out and get back to me...), even though I was told it should work... I ended up buying an Innuos Zen Mini Mark 3 and can´t be happier! Flawless performance, very user friendly, great app, big HD, smooth ripping and well built.

I replaced an Audio Research LS-27 and a MC462 (which to me sounded beautiful and seemed like an End-Game) that I found lacked a little when it came to higher frequencies/ transparency. I was afraid I would miss out in warmth, but can´t say this has been the case.
