Interesting. I sold my D250 exactly a year ago. I had been lucky enough to get it open box unused private sale from Germany with a pair of the Atom GT1 SE Devialet ‘ensemble’ stand mounts. Cost 10,100 Euro all in. It had done me well through 4 house moves and a divorce, but the time had come to look at upgrades. At the time I was quite fed up I could only sell it for £1800, but I think that has been a generally weak market for expensive hi fi.
I wouldn’t buy into the Astra, as I think it would only offer more of the same, but I wish them well.
I’ve settled on a Naim New Classic system NAC332, 300 PS, NAP250 fronted by a Linn Klimax DS3 streamer with the Organik DAC upgrade, a chunk of fancy Vertere cables and the same Atom speakers. Very happy with the sound, but even carefully bought, ex dem it’s in dual mono territory for the Devialet. It’s got a wider soundstage than the Devialet sound and a bit more rounded and fuller. In the end I trusted Naim and Linn more at that cost than Devialet ongoing.
