1. How is the 4.0 surround effect?
2. Can you explain how to connect it and how to set it up in the Devialet app?

I set up the speakers as two pairs L-R front and back. The surround prosessor is sending front L-R to one AD-converter, back L-R to the other. The AD-converters are sending the signal via Toslink to Phantom front and back. Set the volume to approximately 80% on both pairs of Phantom and use the surround preamp as volume control. Voilà; cheapo(ish) surround setup. Workes as a charm!

Thank you very much for your reply! Can I speculate that the two front-mounted Phantoms have already been set up as a pair through the Devialet app on the phone; and the AD-converters transmit the signal to one of these pair through toslink。  the same as the back pairs。 right?

You're welcome!
The speakers were divided into two pairs, front and back. I had a center Phantom too, but that's not strictly necessary.

New speakers, again!
No Devialets this time either. I must confess, I believe my Devialet saga is definitely over. I'm really satisfied with the Sigberg Audio Manta/10D combo in the living room, so when I got the chance to get hold of some demo speakers of Sigberg Audio SBS.1 and dual Inkognito G2 12" subwoofers, I had to fork out. Impressive specifications and even more impressive sound.

Nice ones! Any opinion on a comparison to the Kii Threes?
I am still very happy with my phantoms but considering trying the Threes in the near future.

Thanks!
The Kii Three is a very good sounding speaker, quite a lot better than the Phantom 108dB. I believe the SBS.1 is on par, or even better sounding than the Three. The Sigberg Audio SBS.1 can play ridiculously loud with an astonishing effortlessness, where the Three has a more limited capacity. It's kind of comparing apples and oranges, the SBS.1 is designed to have subwoofer(s) to cover the lower octaves, the Three can play down to about 25 Hz without a sub. Price wise the Kii Three is way more expensive than a SBS.1/Inkognito setup, and if you add the BXT it's getting silly expensive. The Sigberg Audio Manta/10D combo in the living room plays quite a lot better than the Three/BXT, in my ears, even not taking in account the lower price tag of the Sigberg Audio combo.
