Time to raid those piggy banks!

Seems pretty reasonable to me, for a whole new set of internals - I was expecting to have to pay a lot more!

Strange. When I follow your link I get different prices. I'm based in the UK. :

I think it is STUPID move by Devialet to charge the same price for the upgrades of the 4 stereo amps as it doesn't reflect owner's original 'investments'. The upgrades of the dual mono amps do seem quite attractive in comparison Wink

Its a shame that Devialet have pitched the 200 upgrade price at such a high level. I'm very happy with the sound of my system now (200/AIR3) so its unlikely that I will pay £3k to reduce noise by a few dB.

Still, I will probably have a demo of the new 'Pro' to see (hear) whether its worth it. Alternatively I could add £3k of options to my hopefully upcoming new car...

Looks like DPREM owners have a bargain price to upgrade Smile

Decent prices for the dual mono, given the changes involved.

I'm in a minor quandary, my dual mono is made up of x2 250 masters. Do I give up one master (and save myself £1000), or upgrade both to 250 Pro.

(D120 and D-Premier should be selling like hot cakes, looks like Celts88's xmas has come early, £10k for a 1000 expert pro, happy days!) Rolleyes

After one year and paid 6500€ I should pay further 3499€ for the upgrade from 200 to 220 pro!? It's maybe ok for 120 owner to get additional 100 watts power - but at 200 owners only 20 - it's a bit unfair when considering the original price from Dev 120 and Dev. 200! I think about selling my Dev. 200!!!

Given a typical dealer margin of around 45-50% on new units, it seems that Devialet will make about as much money on each upgrade as they would on a new sale. Not a bad business model, if they can get away with it.

As to whether it's worth it, I can't say, but I think I would probably prefer to move up to a higher model in the range if I was spending serious money. I do agree that the DP upgrade looks to be good value, after all.

Stupid me for buying a 200.  I could have saved myself $3500 CDN in getting a 220 Pro.

I'm probably not going to upgrade my D200 at those prices, but a s/h D-Premier is suddenly looking like a good idea...

Glad I bought the 120. Not such a good deal for the 200.
