If you determine the IP of the speakers on your wifi network, you can enter that into your browser and you'll see a configuration page for the speaker. Here, you can manually do things like changing network settings, adding PINs to secure their settings, rename them, or even install firmware updates. I learned about this from Audirvana sites, as entering the wifi password manually is thought to improve their UPnP stability.
