I'm using Magic all the time, can't hear any degradation of the sound only less pops and clicks. Regarding air it depends on the cartridge, I use it as Mr. Parks recommends, to emulate cartridge loading. Tilt, treble and bass depends on the record. Which cartridge do you use? Does the Puffin live up to the expectations?

Hi ,
Seems like after a few days that the system was off i turn it back on and i noticed that theres a huming sound come out of the speakers when turntable are on it sound very annoying on 65% vol and up.
Tried to switch plugs/power outlets to see if it helps with no success .i cant remember if i had this when setup was built 3 a month ago.

Please advice

I had Shannon upgrade my Puffin with the new Toslink output.  Really happy. Music is clear and smooth. A very enjoyable combination with my Phantoms.

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

I did send mine to Shannon.  He was great to work with and was very quick to perform the update and send it back. I had previously installed the coax upgrade myself. I removed the changes I made and the hole in the case was reused for the new connection.

I actually never had a chance to try the coax with the Phantoms. I was using it with a different system. While I can't answer about sound changes I am every happy with how simple the setup is and how it just works with out any extra pieces or fussing with it.
