Remote rises volume by itself
#21
Since I started this thread in March 2019, the problem never occurred again after I got the remote back from Devialet.
In the meanwhile I upgraded to a Expert 250 Pro CI and all was well until beginning of April, as the volume suddenly started to raise again in Roon. The slider could not be stopped, not by the remote and not by sliding it to the left. Only shutting down the Expert 250 by the on/off button on the remote helped.

The distance from remote to the Expert 250 Pro is about 3,5m. I use wifi to connect the 250 to my network. As I remember correctly, Roon had just been updated to a newer version. After that Roon got another update to the latest version now available (1.8, build 790).

I had exactly this same problem. It didn’t matter whether I used the physical remote, the Devialet app or the Roon app, the volume kept climbing at an alarmingly fast rate. Panic stations!  It turned out that a change of batteries in the remote solved the problem.

Thanks.
Actually, that was the first thing I did, changing the batteries for the best I could find, although the batteries were new. We’ll see what happens in the coming months…
