I have connected my QNAP NAS to my D using both USB 2 and 3. Both work fine and I cannot detect any difference in SQ between them.

I have a Qnap TS-251+ connected via USB to the Devialet 120.
Iam using Kodi as a Audio Player - works like a charm (:

Welcome to Devialetchat! Are you aware that you can use JRiver to play your music files? You will have to pay a subscription, but it is more functional than Kodi.

I wonder if you can use QNAP's Qmusic app to play music, too.

Kodi perfectly fits my needs.
Audio quality is fine, mobile control (iPad + iPhone) works well and Iam connected to multiple NAS systems hosted by friends.
