Uk price drop

Has anyone categorically demonstrated that a 400 is better than a 250? I've heard a couple of dealers say that - for certain speakers - the jury is still out.

I'm in the same boat as you - upgraded D-Prem. Absolutely love the sound it produces but would be tempted to get a companion if funds allowed.

Devialet ran a 15% off promo last summer - might be worth waiting Wink

is there a general percentage of discount that was applied to the old prices? I'm in Canada and don't know what they were prior so I don't know if they are now down 5% or 10%, etc. . Is this just a price reduction to spur on sales or the result of DEV going dealer direct, I'm assuming that there might have been a distributor in the mix in the past....

The price of the 200 was cut from £5990 to £5175 which is between 13 and 14%. I assume the other models were cut by a similar%. I've not read an official reason for the decrease but the pound has gone up nearly 20% against the euro in the last two years and it's easy to buy a Devialet elsewhere in Europe.

I read elsewhere that the Absolute Sounds will no longer be the UK distributor from the end of this month but that was a post on another forum - I haven't seen an official statement.

That's exactly what I thought

I wonder whether Devialet will re-run their 15% off promo this summer?

Hello PhilP, i am considering buying a Devialet 200 soon, somewhere the coming weeks. So, a summer sale would be worthwhile to wait for. Do you have more details of the one from last year? Was it on all the Devialet products and at what time (if they rerun it's propably around the same time)?

You really had to say that didn't you?

Sorry Clive but yes it is that different - I didn't believe it could be, but it is. Strangely it also really helps while listening at low levels as well - go figure !!!

Does anybody know the actual date of the price cut?  Just got my Devialet 200 from a dealer here in San Diego, California.  Purchase date was 04/25/2015.  Amp was delivered to the dealer and picked up by me on 05/15/2015.  I may be entitled to a partial refund.  Love my D200!  Fantabulous sonics!  Thank you in advance for your responses.
