Uk price drop

Does anybody know the actual date of the price cut?  Just got my Devialet 200 from a dealer here in San Diego, California.  Purchase date was 04/25/2015.  Amp was delivered to the dealer and picked up by me on 05/15/2015.  I may be entitled to a partial refund.  Love my D200!  Fantabulous sonics!  Thank you in advance for your responses.

In the UK June 1st 2015 as this was the date of transition from Absolute Sounds to Devialet direct distribution.

Thank you Martyn.  It turned out that there was a change of US distributorship.  The original distributor unloaded his remaining inventory at a huge discount to dealers who then sold them at bargain prices.  They were sold out pretty quick.  You snooze, you lose.

If you look at the OP from Philip he kindly posted the following prices, and many like me thought great, a Companion 200 now looks more enticing:-
120 - £3,699

I verified those prices on my favourite Devialet dealers website then, and when I look at them today the prices are now:-
120 - £3,990
200 - £5,490, Companion - £4,490
250 - £9,990, Companion - £7,990
400 - £9,980
800 - £17,980

Quite substantial price increases. What's going on???

I just checked my local dealer's site and he's increased his prices which are now the same as you report... Very strange.  Bizarrely the euro is now even weaker against the pound than it was last week so if anything the prices should have fallen even further


EDIT: the lower prices were due to the previous distributor dumping their remaining stock.

Prevailing retail price in the US is now $9495.  Which equates to about GBP 6624 or 8710 Euros.  We're getting kicked in the arse over here!

Come to POLAND... there is an interesting offer from Polish official distributor for buying a set (Devialet 120 or 200 + a pair of loudspeakers ELAC, B&W or ProAc).

For example

B&W 805D + Devialet 200 = 38000 PLN (Polish zloty)

£ rate vs PLN = 1 £ is around 5,7 PLN

so this set costs around 6666 £
