Submotion Orchestra "Colour Theory" (Qobuz)

Posted this one before but I keep coming back to it and enjoying it more each time. I'd recommend it highly to anyone who likes London Grammar (for example).

Yeah thanks. I picked up on it last time and have since worked through a few more of theirs - Finest Hour being another good one.

Some mellow rock (prog,folk,art?) for a Sunday afternoon. Takes me back, saw them live in '81 promoting their follow up 'turn of the tide'.

And looking forward to seeing John Lees' bjh in November, 35 years later!!

Villagers - Where Have You Been All My Life?

Talking of mellow, here's some fantastic indie/folk from the Irish band Villagers. 

It's a collection of songs from their first three album releases, all recorded in one day, at London's RAK Studio.

Released earlier this year it's currently on a price promotion on qobuz (along with a selection of artists on the Domino label).
