POLARITY - an acoustic jazz project
„Hoff Ensemble“
My main goal is to create a specific identity for each album I make. This time I chose to involve Anders Jormin and Audun Kleive, two of Scandinavia's finest jazz artists. The result is Polarity, an album based on both new and older compositions of mine, recorded in a unique acoustic setting" (Jan Gunnar Hoff)
The Velvet Blues" is the trio's third release - and their first in collaboration with DALI. From a tight, rhythmic pulsing swing beat to abstract, dissolving free structures, it is music of its time rooted in the classic, beguiling melancholy of jazz, yet simultaneously invoking a universal meeting among three virtuoso instrumentalists. It is an attempt to make time stand still, in a moment of utter selflessness in the service of music. (Dali)

Neil Young
„Homegrown“
As Neil Young gets to the point: "This album is the previously unheard of connection between 'Harvest' and 'Comes A Time'". Taken between June 1974 and January 1975, Homegrown was to be released in 1975, but then Young discontinued the publication. Neil Young posted the following letter to Neil Young Archives:
"I apologize. The album Homegrown should have been there for you a few years after Harvest. It's the sad side of a love affair. The damage done. The heartache. I just couldn't listen to it. I wanted to leave it behind So I kept it to myself, deep in the cellar vaults, in the top shelf, in the back of my head ... but I should have shared it. It's actually great, that's why I took it on. Life hurts sometimes know what i mean. This is the one that escaped.
Analog recorded between 1974 and early 1975, homegrown was then mixed onto original stereo-analog master tapes. These original mixes have been lovingly and carefully restored by John Hanlon and mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Homegrown is a completely original album. (Quote from HRA)
