"constant improvement via free, regular updates".... hah! That certainly got lost in the translation somewhere.
My guess is that we won't see anything from Devialet until late fall. But if it goes well beyond then I'd predict there will be a lot less of us here waiting to hear something.

It wouldn't get worse than it already has. Most of the active forumers are ex-devialet who came to criticize everything promised and didn't arrive yet. And a few good pals who tend to help new users like myself when they visit once a month.
Getting worse in my opinion is for the site to get completely abandoned from the expert/pro side, leaving phantom owners discuss the dialog tweaks and how to add 10 phantoms in a row to create a home cinema.

I would guess that upcoming new features in 2017 are mostly related to the OS/streamer board.
Roon integration is something new and a welcome addition. I hope we will see this being released sometime in 2017.

I also think that guys here are very unpatient. We have the update of the amplifier for 7 Month. And the streamer should arrive the next few months.
Isn't that a constant improvement?
And i also share the opinion taht it doesnt make sens for devialet to heavily tweek the system by now when they change an important part of it in the near future. so keep your head down, enjoy your actual Expert Pro and be happy as soon as the streamer board arrives.

Yes I agree that people here can sometimes get a bit antsy.
However, the recent commotion with the streamer card upgrade is mostly self-inflicted by Devialet IMHO. And it is not deal to the speed of delivery since they did hint that it would be due at the later part of this year.
What has frustrated most is their refusal to communicate about the features and the ETA of the promised streamer card.
I suspect they are emulating Apple/Steve Jobs' famous shroud of mystery with new products releases. What they fail to understand is that Apple's secrecy is on new products that people are speculating by press and people "in the know". Nobody ever paid for these new features nor are they ever promised.
With the new streamer card, Devialet promised *with great fanfare* great new things including a future streamer and DevialetOS for the new Expert series which people gladly paid good money to upgrade something that they have only bought months ago.
But after money is collected is months of radio silence, customers have no idea of what they have paid for and what features will be there. Many including myself have been holding off buying a audiophile streamer with Roon support with the hope that the new card will be rid of the AIR bug and have Roon support.
So while we are waiting, we have no idea of WHAT WE ARE WAITING FOR.
Having said that, if you talk to insiders they are actually super nice people willing to talk.
I have heard from a little bird that it should be on schedule for end Q3 and expect good things, e.g. Roon.
Hope that will come true.

at least I got an important update this year already: firmware 10.1. It gave a clearly better SQ which for me is more important than a new feature that I possibly won't use...
