If it's fine by you, just use BT. Wifi supports lossless audio, BT doesn't.

thanks but how big a deal is lossless audio?

If you don't play lossless files, you won't tell the difference. The difference could be quite substantial when streaming high resolution files. It sounds better in every way.

I tried Bluetooth to watch TV with my golds - unwatchable due to the extra delay in sound

Optical is near perfect for me in that regards

Have no need to try it for streaming music Smile

Every player I know can deal with the delay and fine tune it so, this is a non issue.

About BT ; most recent BT chipsets in computers are close to a CD quality ; I must admit that my 50 yo ears can hardly make a difference.
