I tried again using firefox browser but still no luck - same result.

I have downloaded the zip file several times. There are 30 files, several with the same file name. Confused...

Thank you for assisting. unzipping the file gives the same result. I'm well confused!

OK So there's something wrong with the way you're unzipping, to me it sounds like the unzip folder is pointing at the zipped folder.

Try this: put the zipped folder on your desktop, then un-zip to your 'documents' where it should create a new folder.

Well I have tried on two laptops now, Win 7 pro and win 10, with the same result. In the past with every other firmware update all I have done is downloaded the zip file into my download folder and opened it with file explorer, then copied all the files to the SD card. Always worked before, only 14 files in the ZIP folder.

I have even tried with an unzipping program 'Uzip', same result 30 files and some with the same filename. I'm sure there is something wrong with the file. I will put a ticket in to Devialet on Monday, see what they say.
