Hi Everyone,
I spent this weekend totally reconfiguring my phantoms to use Dante as the audio input. I was able to work with a local custom installer and purchase 5 Dante optical adapters (https://www.audinate.com/products/dante-...er?lang=en) and 3 AVIO adapters (https://www.audinate.com/products/device...naloginput). I'm fortunate that my preamp has balanced outputs and am using it to control sources and volume on the phantoms.
I'm simply blown away at the improved sound quality I was able to achieve with this configuration than my old one (using parts ordered from Amazon). The phantoms sound "huge" again. Everything just sounds better. Surprisingly setup was extremely simple and straightforward. Once my house is ready, I'm going to fully retrofit all of my phantoms to use Dante. It's the only way I can ensure that they work flawlessly in my environment.

I'm glad to hear that it's finally working out for you! Could I ask how much a Dante adapter costs? Can't find the price on the Internet.

Ah, that is interesting! Finally someone using these in a home system. @njaiswal can you reveal the price of a Dante adapter? ( @ragwo was quicker than me ) This would be a proper way of getting a pair (or more) of Phantoms to work at home. It seems though that Dante is not Linux compliant..

The cost I paid is $300 for each adapter. I asked the Devialet Custom Install manager why the cost was so high and he said that it was due to it being targeted for commercial installs.

What other Dante components are required to make it work? Do you have a simple diagram of your setup?

I also used Dante Controller which is free from Audinate to route the audio signal to the phantomes. I've attached a crude diagram of my setup.

How does it sound compared with Spark App?
IMHO it sounds much better because I'm able to use Anthem's audio room correction software to eliminate standing waves generated by the phantoms.

Thank you for posting about the Dante products.
Before the Phantom Golds, I was using my mains and dual subs for both the stereo and home theatre and I have since split the systems. Should I go back, I could use the same Dante products that you mentioned.
I am very familiar with Anthem Room Correction and hope you have updated to the Genesis version. FYI, with my Golds, I am using UPnP and MinimServer with Convolution (impulse and phase correction).
