Roon RAAT and "An audio file is loading slowly"
The optimisations applied in this latest version were already operating for servers running on Windows or on the Roon OS (the Nucleus and Nucleus+ servers).

The first paragraph of the release notes states "Today, we are releasing an updated version of Roon for Linux, which will now run on Microsoft’s .NET runtime. This replaces the mono runtime Roon has always used on platforms other than Windows and Roon OS." and a couple of paragraphs later they say "Note: No action is needed for Cores running on Roon OS devices, including Nucleus and ROCK. They already use Microsoft’s .NET runtime."

So whatever they are doing in Build 846 was previously in place for people running their Roon Core on Windows or the Roon OS,. In other words, this release is essentially a "catch up" for cores running on other Linux operating systems. I didn't see any mention of the Mac OS apart from that fact that this release does not apply to the Mac OS.
Roon Nucleus+, Devialet Expert 140 Pro CI, Focal Sopra 2, PS Audio P12, Keces P8 LPS, Uptone Audio EtherREGEN with optical fibre link to my router, Shunyata Alpha NR and Sigma NR power cables, Shunyata Sigma ethernet cables, Shunyata Alpha V2 speaker cables, Grand Prix Audio Monaco rack, RealTRAPS acoustic treatment.
