Now that Expert is NLA, they may as well update the apps and firmware for it, in fact I think it would be a pretty stellar public relations move for them to do so.
Since there is no longer any option to buy an Expert, this can't cannibalise any Astra sales.
Otherwise, if I were a prospective Astra customer, I would be looking at what happened with keeping the apps and firmware up-to-date, despite the initial suggestions at time of sale. I'd be asking why I should expect anything different from Astra, over future years.
In terms of "upgrading" from Expert Pro, it's not a tempting proposition for me. The apparent loss of Sweetroom is a showstopper, just for starters.
Also, I'm wondering what this means for the pre-Astra repair capability. My D-Premier needed a repair a few years back.
