@canyelles - What model and year of Mac Mini?
I have a 2012 with 4 USB ports on back - connected via USB to Devialet with nary a hitch running El Capitan.
Have you tried using a different USB port on the Mac Mini to see if the issue persists?
I will take a look at my system preferences tonight and let you know.
Also have you tried a different USB cable?
