I have wondered what connects to what and how as well. I would look to understand what setup is needed to maximize actual sound signal pathway through the wired connections in order to avoid wireless interference. So I thought with ethernet connected phantoms, the sound pathway was wired and thus interference was minimized. But now I wonder if ethernet connected phantoms just boost the wireless reception of the phantoms to increase wireless contact and the sound pathway between the phantoms and the router, or the dialog, what ever the pathway is (your question) is in fact wireless, so the sound pathway is always wireless. Does anybody know for sure?
