Yes sorry the film 'The Heat' (in case the reference was lost on anyone) just jumped into my head and I made myself laugh out loud and couldn't resist.
In seriousness I'm sure they maybe will one day as I was told they were working on some EQ a year ago, but worrying about when that might happen is pointless in my opinion. Adding code to apply some EQ curves (like REW outputs into a mini dsp box) is trivial. Same for a basic EQ curve interface if they wanted to up the ante a bit. Realtime would need something more advanced than their torturous configuration/sd card thing, so that's a lot more work (new streamer board maybe?), but a 'load and set' scenario is easy. If they wanted you to have the bare bones feature, they could have done it in a few weeks. Instead they made a custom 'Sam lab' which seems to be a very shy creature. When I chased EQ or room correction I was told 'everyone is still excited about SAM - that's what people want'......
This is all expert related obvs but I'm sure the same code applies
