Hi Amabrok,
The Montis sound fine driven by the 400's, and I can hear the improvement in detail and imaging, stage depth and dynamics each and every time I turn it on, bearing in mind the CD player has been used for about 25 hours, the rest of the system a little longer.
I had CLS's for over 10 years and used a 60 watt audio research classic 60 which was a superb combination, and they didn't have a 200 watt powered sub in each one!
The mid and high frequencies are generally what attract us to els's in the first place, and I've noticed no issues whatsoever.
I was more cautious moving from valve amps than concerning myself with the impedence curve of the speakers.
