SOLVED - here's how - Spark "System needs to be updated' Download Failed....?

I will assume that your problem is not related to the last update being withdrawn.

I found I had to update one Phantom at a time.
So, power up your Dialog and one Phantom only. Start the setup process.
If this is successful, power up the second Phantom and restart the setup process.
