From my research, it’s generally agreed upon that you can’t really polish out swirls and scratches from chrome like you would with paint.when you polish out scratches on your painted auto, you are really removing the clear coat down past the scratch depth. If there were a top coat on the devialet chrome finish you could do the same. But when it comes to chrome finishes, I think we are SOL.
Hopefully someone can contradict my research because I would like to remove some fine scratches myself.
To give some Hope, I think you could try some chrome polishes that would fill in some of the swirls, but it’s only a mask, not a true remover.
