Universal Phantom volume control options

However, the lack of being able to control the volume with a universal remote is troubling. Which leaves me wanting to look further into this one:

Sounds promising! I have a Logitech Harmony Elite remote. Could you tell me more about this Bridge? I can't find any obvious bridge solutions on google. Would it be possible to combine it with the Direct mode?

Spud,

Maybe have a look at this setup --> https://devialetchat.com/Thread-Developp...5#pid78395

I've removed the dialog and replaced it with a Yamaha WXC-50 hooked up via an active optical splitter to two white phantoms each configured in direct optical mode.

I chose the WXC-50 as it was the only cost effective solution I could find to give me volume control in the digital domain. Other advantage is that the audio delay has been reduced dramatically.

This system is now integrated into my universal remote as the WXC-50 uses a IR transmitter. It also comes with the Musiccast App that allows full control from a phone/tablet.

I tried the "bridge" solution that required running a server on a small PC or rasberrypi etc etc and frustratingly couldn't get it to work. My coding skills are not that great!!

Hope this offer another solution for you.

Cheers
