The Project mentions I has 2 phono inputs and one line input.
The problem sounds similar to when you plug a cartridge into a line rather than phono input.
I would try both phono 1 and phono 2 just in case the settings aren’t applied to the input you’re using.
A Planar 3 with exact should be sounding great, drums will sound amazing through Phantoms when you get it sorted!
