Wired UPNP vs Wireless UPNP

You need to connect both your MacBook and Phantoms to your router using Ethernet cables. Then set up Phantoms as a stereo pair using phone app, enable UPnP.

On Audirvana, enable UPnP and select Phantoms as your renderer or player.

Or you can connect the Macbook with an optical cable to one of the phantoms and connect one ethernet cable to both phantoms (one phantom at each end of the cable). UPNP can be laggy if the wifi is not clean or strong enough, especially when playing Hires files. In Audirvana you then have to select internal audio output. You need to use an optical cable with an adapter to fit the small headset stereo plug on the Macbook.
This set up has been perfect for me both for phantoms I and phantoms II in stereo. Audirvana is the way to go for real HIFI music playing or streaming (includes your Qobuz or Tidal files).
