I feel like we've had a very similar debate already. I too am very satisfied with the current state of my Expert Pro and wonder what the new OS board might bring. But I remember very well thinking the exact same way about my Expert. Was the upgrade to Pro really going to be worth it? Will the Pro really sound better? I have absolutely no regrets with that decision now and I know that had I decided to stick with the old Expert, I'd have always wondered what I was missing.
The Devialet Expert Pro with the new OS board is Devialet's future. Whatever comes next will undoubtedly require that board. I understand not wanting the hassle to ship my system back to France to get it, but if I don't, I'm certain that there will come a time in the future where I'll wish I had.
So while I am disappointed at the thought that it may not be dealer/customer upgradeable as I was first told, I will most certainly do whatever is required to get it.
