In marketing to English speaking countries however, they definitely like to emphasis their past Hi-Fi roots in quality turntables and given turntables/vinyl have made something of a comeback that's not an unwise marketing choice. Note from recent CES show: Sony will be retailing a turntable with built-in software so user can copy their vinyl LP's directly to their computer. No need for third party devices between your computer and turntable. If sales are good likely other turntable manufacturers will follow Sony's lead.
