NAS and router sit about 30-50cm away from the 220 pro.
The amps in the left hand side of a 130cm wide media unit, the NAS and router are in the right hand side with the router to the right of the NAS. TV on top of the unit with optical out into the amp.
I have a 1m Postta (flat) CAT 7 cable between amp and router and 0.5m Postta (flat) CAT 7 cable between the NAS and router........ plus a 1.5m (standard) CAT6 cable from router to TV.
Even though having a fan the NAS is completely silent from about 10cm away, once fully booted up and the 'smart fan' which runs at about 1000rpm comes online..... The SSDs are obviously silent
IMHO a powerful NAS with 8GB of RAM, 2x 1TB SSDs and a Quad Core Intel processor running at speeds of upto 2.4Ghz deserves a fan just incase somethings plays up.
It seems i can put the laptop away and use the iPad as remote, controlling roon, and that´s the place where i pretend to be.
Why do you have a eth cable between the router and tv? Mine is connected to the box by an hdmi cable.
