Remote Vinyl Streaming

This is a bit of a strange product category given that most modern albums originate as digital files.

Here's a bit of an analogy:

The old:

The recording is made on analog tape and transferred to LP, which gets played on an analog record player.

The new:

A recording is made in a digital format and gets streamed or downloaded in a digital format and sent to a DAC for digital to analog conversion.

The weird:

The recording is made in a digital format. It then gets converted to analog to be cut into an LP. The LP then gets played on an analog record player, converted to digital, streamed to a DAC and converted back to analog. All this has comes with some loss of quality for sure but it makes us feel good because we enjoy putting a needle on an LP.

Here's an example of something similar. See if it makes sense to you:

The old:

A boy likes a girl. He writes her a love letter on paper, puts it in the mail and it gets delivered by the mail man. She opens the envelope and reads the letter. Everybody happy.

The new:

A boy likes a girl. He writes her a love letter in an email. He sends it to her and she receives it immediately. She reads it right away. Everybody happy.

The weird:

A boy likes a girl. He writes her a love letter in an email but instead of sending the email to her, he sends it to a someone who writes his letter word for word on paper and then sends it by mail. The girl receives the letter, scans it with specialised software that can read the letter and type it onto an email. She then emails it to herself so she can read it on her phone. There's a chance both the letter writer and the reading software have made mistakes so the content is likely not the same as the original email but the girl feels good about it because she likes the feeling of opening an envelope.

Am I missing something?
