So it looks like at least 3 people in various parts of the world think that the Devialet is sensitive to the quality of power. 
It could be that the Pro CI upgrade has reduced this sensitivity, but it was certainly very obvious in early iterations. It may still be, I haven't done any comparison since I upgraded.
