Pretty sure that article is all about the Phantom remote app.  While I suppose it is possible that the pending new Phantom app will include the Experts & Expert Pros, I'm not holding my breath on that.   The latest Dev app for the Expert/Expert Pros is v1.8.3 released back in July 2017.

I've posted the question to Dev Support as I'm sure many others have as well.

Ah good one. I'll post also a request. Pretty sure it is redirected to a black hole. Hope not. It was a very useful app.
