Supplement - as for future considerations. Very key question. I am thinking KEFs LS50 Metas with the new KEF KC62 sub which seems to be inspired in part by the phantoms. It probably my benchmark budget and sound for speakers though I would be looking into other parts of the audio chain which owning an active speaker allowed me to avoid until now that is.
