Hi all
I want to connect my old turntable to a single phantom classic - for security/sound quality reasons I don't want to use bluetooth so a phono to bluetooth converter is out.
If I keep my phantom near the turntable I can use a phono to Toslink cable and connect the Phantom optical input - any recommendation - I've been looking at:
https://www.project-audio.com/en/product...x-e-phono/ as this has a Moving Magnet input.
At the moment the turntable is on the opposite side of the room to the phantom, is there is a limit to the length of digital optical cable? I don't want to spend a fortune on this, I don't use the turntable often enough though I do still use it. At the moment it is connected to an analog amp with its own speakers - trouble is my room is starting to look like a hifi showroom!
Can anyone tell me if its possible to go the WIFI route:
Eg Phono analoge in > digital converter > WIFI out (airplay?) to the Phantom?
As far as I can see this isn't currently possible ?
Thanks for any advice.
