DEVIALET now Roon Ready.
#91
I just today sent back my Od’A for the Pro/CI upgrade, arranged just before the RAAT announcement.

Should be a significant step up once I get it back Smile

From the main menu in the upper left corner of Roon, go to Settings>Audio>Device Setup and select the Playback tab at the top (between General and Zone Grouping tabs).
Select the buffer size you want from the drop down. I've tried up to 3,000ms (3 sec) but have settled on 500ms. You may prefer something else.

Another vote in favor of AIR over RAAT (both over Ethernet) for Roon audio quality, after an afternoon of comparing. I hear a bit more depth and separation of instruments via AIR. But, as has been said above, preferences are subjective. I do hear a difference (but no, I haven't tried blind testing).

I don’t think you can adjust buffer on a RoonReady device. You could try resync delay or I’d post your issues to Roon support.

I had a similar problem for a few days after the last Roon update. Changing buffer size had no effect, but it seems to have settled down now.
I am wondering if it was related to Roon's audio analysis going on in the background which you can disable to see if this is the problem. There is some discussion of this on the Roon forum.

I have just upgraded my 440 to the latest firmware.
Roon is also the latest version.
Using the same 2 config files (master & companion) as before.
Devialet is connected to the wifi.

When I toggle through the Devialet inputs I get to the "Roon Ready" one. I just do not see a Roon audio output option (Roon->Settings->Audio) that I can enable.

What am I doing wrong?

Roon Air still works fine.

Click on the speaker icon, when you select a song. You need to enable the zone, after you created a zone for Roon Ready in audio settings.

@Drifter, In Roon, click settings from the drop down menu on the left. From the settings list, click Audio and from the list enable the Roon Ready zone.

Thanks @douglas @Axel

That is the issue i.e. there is no RAAT output in my Roon Audio Settings.
It picks up Air as the only networked device.
I'm scratching my head here, I'm stumped ......
