Yes I just did, still no update available
This might be the reason, it's from the release note:
"This version will be deployed at first on certain models of Phantom I only. Full deployment will follow several days later."

That would explain, thanks! I'll just have to wait, and after resetting the Phantom's after a while all seems a bit more fluent somehow. So still a minor gain ;-)

I am happy  now. 

what button do you press for standby?
A short press of the power button on the back simply turns it off and enters the standby mode, and a short press again turns the speaker on.  
If you press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, the speaker enters the ultra power saving mode.  It actually turns off.  
If you press the button again, it wake up after about 30 seconds as it goes through the boot process.

Phew! All done for me first time which was a relief given some of the problems others have encountered. 
What are the benefits of the new release as cannot seem to find anything on it?

2.12.5 contains fixes for the problems introduced in 2.12.3 (https://help.devialet.com/hc/en-us/artic...DOS-2-12-5).  
2.12.3 contained a whole raft of enhancements over 2.11 (https://help.devialet.com/hc/en-us/artic...DOS-2-12-3)

After a few days of using Dos 2.12.5, I would like to advise anyone who is still using Dos1, switch to DOS2.

Even without using Roon or audirvana the sound quality has definitely increased quite a bit by using UPnP (ethernetradio, own files en streaming) and optical (TV)

I use wired ethernet.
