Apparently it is. And it's an algorithm that can be used in just about anything with a digital volume control. Someone posted about it on the Roon forum asking them to implement it but nobody has picked up that thread yet. Seems a no brainer to me. Soulution wouldn't be choosing it over their own volume control if it wasn't better.
