+1 on the vertical remote.
I mounted my Expert Pro on the wall this weekend and the remote no longer worked from far across the room...until I remembered this thread and held it vertically. Thanks for the tip.
Now if Devialet would just make a vertical stand for the remote to match the wall mount for the Expert Pro. Shouldn't be more than a few hundred $$$.
