Taking my 800 to HiFi Lounge on Tuesday to compare with the 1000 pro just to justify the upgrade and to ensure it IS an upgrade. Will be looking forward to Confused comments following his demo.

As someone earlier mentioned I too would be interested in finding out if power cords makes any difference to the 1000 pro as compared to the 800. Looking forward to your findings.

If your dealer do have B&W 800 D3 for demo with Devialet 1000pro and Od'A, you may want to listen to it also...

I can't help thinking that it would be very annoying for all if we reach totally opposite conclusions! Maybe you shouldn't read any of my posts until after your demo, otherwise you might suffer from 'confused' bias?

Blades should be good to test all that as they go pretty deep and image really well (only heard them at a show). 
I might be wrong, but I suspect the D800 and 1000 Pro have the same phono stage? It does occur to me it might be interesting to get a config card set for a low output MC, and do a 'hiss test'. I wonder if this is improved on the later models?
