New speakers SAM ready

Did Devialet say that this is a match??????
Since it is the actual bass drive units that are measured and mapped for SAM and the difference between the G3 and G2 are the bass units I would be amazed if the G3 SAM profile was correct for the G2 bass units (though there may well be extra bass) and the current temperature mapping will certainly be wrong.

I'm pleased to see the Sonus faber Cremona Auditor Ms have crossed the line.

Once we move house (hopefully late Sept), I'll have two audio systems: the Martin Logans in my den and the Cremonas in the posh drawing room. This raises the interesting question: do I use the Dev 200 with the SFs (with SAM) and buy a new amp for the MLs, maybe a valve jobby? Or continue with the (outstanding) Dev + ML combo and buy something as sleek as a Dev for the drawing room? But surely it could only be another Dev! Help!

Sonos Connect (W4S) > DSpeaker Antimode 2.0 > Sanders Magtech > Martin Logan Montis
Sonos Connect (W4S) > Devialet 200 > Vivid V1.5
Silver Phantoms (just the two)

Is it only me? Do some of you think that most of the speakers listed are on the cool side of presentation, which I think are too much of a good thing. IMHO Devialet sounds more listener friendly with warmer, British'ish speakers.

If you got a second Devialet would you be able to integrate this into your J River/AIR setup?

I might start another thread on this very subject.

As long as you give a different name to each Devialet in the config of the wireless input Air on a Mac sees them both separately. One can then choose one or the other. I haven't tried both...

Yes, I'm sure this would work fine, and presumably with ethernet too, which would be my preferred route, as the new house seems to be fully cabled up already.

The main source would be a modded Sonos Connect though, as the rest of the family would want to use the system. If I asked them to use JRiver, I'd be spending my nights with the dog for company.

@moreno - please report your findings, the last big Sonos Fabers I listened to were not exactly bass shy, so this might be an interesting one with SAM.

Yes, this is excellent news. Do let us know how you get on.

I have a pair of Cremona Auditor Ms. They're currently in storage. We're planning to move house in October, and I think the Cremonas will be used in the living room in the new house.

I'll then face a bit of a dilemma. My "main system" will be in my study. The speakers will be the Martin Logan Montis. There's no way I'm going to let go of the electrostatics. The question is what amplification to use with each speakers. Should the Dev 200 stay with the Montis (a great combo), in which case what do I buy to power the Cremonas? Maybe a Dev 120?

Or should I pair the Dev 200 with the Cremonas and buy a valve amp to drive the Montis?

Another option would be to sell the Cremonas and buy other speakers for the living room. But they'd have to be as elegant as the Cremonas.

Decisions!?!?

Don't sell them. IMHO there is no any monitor for this price (2000 EURO s/h) with such beauty and elegance. Plus they are very natural sounding.

I used my Cremona Auditor M with Krell 400xi and IMO this is very good sounding plus nice looking setup. Krell 400xi You can buy for around 1300 Euro in very good condition. This is not a level of my Devialet 200 but for this price it is a bargain.
