Think so too - that would be a quick win. And it’s really easy to do.

I asked the Devialet customer support about the Integration of Qobuz Connect into the Expert Pro CI line. This is their reply:
„Thank you for contacting Devialet customer service. There are currently no official announcements from Devialet regarding the integration of Qobuz Connect into the Expert line. Although Qobuz Connect has been available for some time and has been integrated into many other audio products, this feature is currently missing from the Expert series devices.“ Sounds a bit like an answer from ChatGPT. Yes, that’s a chatbot response. They would never say anything is missing on Expert line. They always say: It is a mature product does everything

At least for the sake of rebuilding its reputation Devialet should make it available to the Expert line. There are currently 3 providers of hires streaming. Qobuz streaming has the best sound quality. Right now those streaming services are going through Roon. Neucleus+ or NUC or any computers for that matter are very noisy equipment. If we get Qobuz Connect we could send music directly to the Expert Pro, this is expected to greatly improve the streaming sound quality. One way or a fresh way to look at it : instead of buying a Wattson for say 2000€ Devialet could sell an update for 1000€. Make money and restore a bit of their reputation, no?

Why is that? Other than the HiRes part, is the lossless quality better than Tidal? It seems they are! Several of the lower priced expert pro models are now available in new “graphite grey” finish. Otherwise they appear to be the same as the old models. What does this all mean? Have Astra sales been so poor Devialet have had to reintroduce the lower priced amplifiers? This doesn’t seem like a coherent and planned strategy. If this is a relaunch of the Expert Pro range, does it mean more time will be devoted to improvements such as incorporating Qubuz Connect? The communication is deafening!
