Hi Frogster99

I'm assuming you are on DOS2 with the Devialet app (as DOS1 had built in radio support).

I'm on IOS but I believe that Mconnect is available for Android - I use it to stream radio stations via upnp to my phantoms. I think Devialet themselves recommend Bubble UPNP when using Android but the principles are the same.

There is an article about upnp from Devialet here
https://help.devialet.com/hc/en-us/artic...xplanation

and another thread from this site here:
https://devialetchat.com/Thread-Silvers-...eds-advice

Unfortunately getting RADIO to the phantom via UPNP requires a media server on your network (as far as I know?).
Its not difficult but its certainly not as simple as using Airplay to get radio to the phantoms but I have found UPNP much more reliable and better quality than Airplay.

I use minimserver/minimstreamer (which is free or low cost) as I already had a PC on my network, - it does require a bit of setup to get the radio stations added but it works really well for me. I use mconnect for all my music both local and radio.

Upnp is definately worth it but it can be awkward at first figuring out which device is doing what!

Hi Snoopy8

Seems like Android has better upnp radio support than IOS apps.

The link you supplied is no longer working (for me anyway) and I can't seem to find Raydio in the play store?

There is this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...upnp&gl=GB

which says it can stream Radio to upnp devices, might be worth a look for frogster99

After longer listening times its actually useless it stutters all the time and feeds above 128 wont play at all. Back to the drawing board.I just need a simple solution.

Hi Frogster99

How are your Phantoms connected and do you know how good your broadband is?

You could have a ‘double hop’ situation where:
1. Your router receives the radio stream and sends it via WiFi to your phone.
2. Your phone then sends the stream back to your router.
3. The router then sends the stream via WiFi to your phantoms

This is not very efficient as it doubles the amount of data being sent via wifi. The simplest solution is to connect the phantom via Ethernet cable if this is possible even on a temporary basis just to confirm the problem is WiFi.

Apologies, didn't realise Raydio no longer on Google Play.

While searching, came across this iOS app
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/c5-stream-...d675817870
Don't have iPhone, so cannot test.

Radio in DOS1 still works well. So put pressure on Devialet to give on DOS2 instructions on how to receive Radio. It is a feature they sold with the Phantoms and seem to have removed. Not acceptable!

I am in talks with devialet at the moment and currently going down the root that the device is not fit for purpose. The device is no longer as advertised why would i need one app to connect to another app to connect to another app to then connect to my phantom. it like the Mr Bean sketch where he has 1 key to get in to his boot then a key in his boot to get in to his car. i thought that sketch was funny and its funny because no one in there right mind apart from a comedy sketch would ever do it. The devialet app should be all we need to do the things advertised when i bought my phantom. use bubble upnp. No why would I. I want to use my devialet app.
If sonos turned round to there customers and said use bubble upnp they would be a laughing stock and so should devialet.
