Maybe CRAP (Combined Roon AIR Playback) I know that this is a 4 letter acronym, but couldn't resist it  Tongue .

Perhaps Devialet and Roon are arguing if they are going to use a three or four letter acronym  Big Grin

Lets just hope it dont turn out to be CRAP..

I'm sure it will be great, The core technology seems to be good and Roon have an excellent track record. Can't see it being Roon causing the delay though.....,

The latest update of Roon is including a direct driver for Devialet AIR. Seems to work fine with AIR/Wifi. Let's see if this holds true Wink

Are you sure? Can you post a screenshot? I am not seeing it and the latest Release Notes from Roon do not mention it. . .thanks.

Pretty sure it isn't.

Build 234 just released does not seem to have anything like that.   Perhaps it is (or will be) only in ROCK since that is linux based and there is no Devialet AIR driver for linux.

Last response from Danny at Roon was "still waiting..." so I suspect that whatever it is, it hasn't been released  yet.

Hey, nobody is better at waiting than Devialet customers ;-)

You need to have Devialet AIR up and running to see it in the available devices.

That screen shot does not demonstrate native AIR in Roon. . I get the exact same image when I go to setup my device for AIR running on a Windows 10 machine. I am pretty sure you are selecting your PC based AIR driver. . .

You're probably right. The pragmatic observation I am making is that I never succeeded to listen to Devialet AIR/WiFi on my D900. I just installed it the way I showed and this suddenly works perfectly right. So native or non native, the fact that it works is just what I was looking for Smile

Yep, that only shows up if you've got the Devialet AIR driver installed on your PC or MAC.   It's been there in Roon for quite awhile.    But I suspect you are correct in that Roon's intent is to allow streaming to your Dev Expert via AIR without the need for the Devialet AIR software.   .  But since the AIR v3.0.4 seems to be working so well these days, it may not be that big a win.

I think the bigger win will be whatever Roon and Devialet are doing that makes Devialet a Roon Partner.  My guess is that is tied to the new Devialet OS board, but who knows?   It may still be months before we hear anything.
