Since 2.19.1 Remote 2 takes 2s to connect

I use a Phantom Gold with a Remote 2 now for 4 years. The Remote 2 always worked without any delay. I turned the ring an the volume changes immediately.
Since October, probably caused by the update to 2.19.1, it happens that the remote shows an animation when I use it after some time of inactivity. A square with light moving around. The same that it shows, when I turn the ring while the Phantom is turned off. That probably should mean the Remote 2 is connecting or "wait until connected".
This happens once or twice a day after some time of inactivity, that i dont use the Remote 2. No matter if music is playing or not.

I contacted the support and they wrote, that they changed the power management and that it is now "normal" that the Remote 2 shows this animation up to 3s.
Anyone else here experiencing this behaviour of the Remote 2?

Same here. Always has this behaviour on the remote 2 since many updates ago. I cannot recall from which one.

Thank you for telling me. 2020 I bought a Phantom Gold and a Remote 1. This Remote 1 allways had a delay. 2021 I wrote this to their support and they answered that this is not normal. They took back my Remote 1 and sent me a new Remote 2. This new Remote 2 worked all right without any delay and without that square animation until October 2025. Then I upgraded the Firmware and now the Remote 2 shows this delay.
I contacted the support again. They wrote that this is the new intended behaviour to save energy. Even though I told them about what they wrote 2021 they refuse to accept that this delay in not normal.
I habe 7 remotes at home. None of them has a delay. I told them I am disappointed. I don t use it any more.
I told them that they should have anounced the delay in the firmware update description.

Not sure if we are talking about the same behavior. Indeed, before the Firmware update the Remote 2 was always connected to my Phantom Golds. Now I would need to reconnect maybe once a day if I use it sparingly. It would then stay connected and react and transfer volume information instantly. And yes, the batteries last longer. Have you tried to disconnect and reconnect?
