Devialet Configurator not saving preout filtering settings
#1
I am running Devialet D400 on a main speakers with a subwoofer. I use SAM together with the subwoofer, so I cannot run high level in for the subwoofer, I need to use the preamp out to connect to subwoofer.

My whole speaker/subwoofer system is working fine, and I output the preamp out full range thus using the subwoofer's own low pass filter. I want to try using Devialet's own preamp out filtering and bypass the subwoofer's low pass filter to see if it will sound any better.

My problem is I can add filter in the preamp output, and after I click on the "OK" button, it seems to be ok for that moment. However, once I quit the configurator and the browser, when I log in again the configurator does not have any filtering setting saved, it defaults back to full range. How do I get the configurator to save the preamp output filtering?

Choose download file as. This will Save your config

Even doing that the low-pass filtering is still not saving

Immediately after I choose low-pass filtering and click ok, it is there. It is also there when I click on Preout again to view the settings. However, after I exist the configurator and go in again, it goes back to full range.

Have you tried to make a brand new configuration
I have had problems trying to edit older ones.

Some things cannot be saved - you do it, download it and use it.

If you need to change the current config - you have to do some things again - especially if you are using dual-mono.

Don't expect these bugs to be fixed - ever.
Unfortunately, Devialet Expert (Pro) is now almost complete "abandonware" and the release of Astra with changed software "platform" is a pretty good proof for that.

You are right !! I looked in the config file and it is there, it is just not saved in configurator. Thanks for your help !!

I know that configurator thing is buggy, for one the preout function, it doesn't get enabled automatically sometimes. I am using the preout for subwoofer and sometimes it has no output. I go back to the configurator and save the config file again and reboot, and then it works.
