Upgrade program kick-off

Just unpacked my new Le220 Pro. It looks really like a brand new one (or they did a very good polishing job). I'd say the remote is definitely new as the dial is really heavy to turn which I remember from the previous one when it was new. New box with new bag (blue innercolor). The old SD card is in the glove box.

The packaging is not very discrete though. Clearly on the box printed what is inside and a print of the invoice with the amount of money worth it. Would have been better that this information was less visible.

Now waiting for a few days to sit for a listen.

After arrival last monday my 220 pro left Paris this afternoon. Just 7 working days..! Looking forward to Your upgrade impressions 120 -> 220 PRO!

The switch box is equipped with wbt plugs and should be pretty neutral. But sure we will finalize without it. There are cheap flights from Berlin :-)

 What you can say about D is a lack of deep stage and holographic stereo image. Although this could be due to the speakers. Hard to say.

I and many others would quote quiet the opposite of that. My D200 is as holographic as I can think of. Never heard an amp performing better on holographics.

If depth of stage and holographic is not to your fulfillment it may be due to the position of your speakers but mostly due to area behind/between your speakers.
If you have any kind of glass/mirror positioned behind/between your speakers (quiet a few will have a TVscreen) where the soundstage should be and you have lots of electromagnetic smog in your listening room you won't get an adequately mapping of the soundstage. If there is any glass you can move around, try to pull it to another room. I bet you will be much surpriced by the result of the better holographic stereo image you get. And if you can not move the glass use some of the tuning equipment for glass on the market to scale down the bad effects it has.

Surely only on the outer carton, and not on the actual black/foam case?
If so they may have to to ease any insurance claims or might just be standard to avoid any non-Eu border controls. (Like us in the not too distant future )

I still sit here thinking shall i upgrade my 200 too pro , i am Wery pleaced With my 200 like Then play Right now, wondering if it Can be much better (mening more than 3000) euro better nothing i Read yet have me ordre upgrade , Wery difficould too find out .

I have to admit I'm currently on-hold wondering whether to upgrade my D200.   I guess the best option is to actually listen and compare but I'm getting the impression the improvements are not overwhelmingly large. Someone convince me! Knock me out!

I feel the same. Upgrade 2x 250 has to be big improvement otherwise I'll spend the $$$ somewhere else
